Juron Criner Questionable Vs. Stanford Despite Improvement

Juron Criner is questionable for the Arizona Wildcats game this upcoming weekend for their game against the Stanford Cardinal. Criner hasn't been able to practice since undergoing an emergency appendectomy on Sept. 5 following his team's season-opening win over Northern Arizona.

Criner, Arizona’s top offensive weapon, has been able to run this week and seems to be showing improvement this week. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, however, he hasn’t been cleared to practice yet.

Coach Mike Stoops said on Wednesday that the team would hopefully find out more later Thursday regarding Criner’s status for Stanford’s game, but he did mention that Criner being able to run is “a positive step.”

Practicing this week isn’t necessary for Criner to play against No. 6 Stanford, according to Stoops, and he could be available for Saturday’s game even if he isn’t cleared to play until the day of the game.
