Despite missing the extra point on their first touchdown, the TCU Horned Frogs took a brief lead following a four-yard touchdown run by Matthew Tucker. Quarterback Casey Pachall completed a 38-yard pass to Josh Boyce for a first down and a spot at the Bears' four-yard line. Ross Evans made the extra point for the 13-7 lead over the Bears.
TCU Vs. Baylor Score: Robert Griffin Finds Kendall Wright For 35-Yard Touchdown, 14-13 Lead
Baylor's offense had stalled since that opening 72-yard scoring drive. They punted twice in their next two drives. However, on the drive following TCU's second touchdown, Robert Griffin III did come up with a big 32-yard pass to Kendall Wright, who had thrown the Bears' first touchdown. A few players later, Griffin found Wright for a 35-yard touchdown and the eventual 14-13 lead.
Wright, though, picked up a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after the play was over. Greg McCoy brought TCU within Baylor's 25-yard line.
