TCU Officially Replaces Texas A&M As Texas’ Thanksgiving Foe

The TCU Horned Frogs will play the Texas Longhorns on Thanksgiving.

Last season marked the end of the Texas and Texas A&M rivalry for now, as Texas took away a 27-25 win on Thanksgiving day. After that, the Aggies moved to the SEC.

Now, the Longhorns will be playing a new Thanksgiving opponent with TCU a newly crowned member of the Big 12. It was long rumored and assumed that the Horned Frogs would be Texas’ Thanksgiving foe, but it took until Friday for it to be confirmed.

Now, it has a kick-off time and everything. According to TCU’s official site, TCU and Texas will face off at 6:30 p.m. CT on Thanksgiving day and the game will be televised on ESPN. It will be the first Thanksgiving game for the Horned Frogs since a game against SMU in 1928.

For more on the Texas Longhorns, head over to Barking Carnival and Burnt Orange Nation. More on the TCU Horned Frogs can be found over at Frogs O' War. SB Nation Dallas has more on both schools.
