The Ravens take one of the top tackles in the class with Utah’s Spencer Fano with the 14th pick.

Welcome back to another year of the SB Nation Community Mock Draft!

As we do every draft season, all 32 NFL sites at SB Nation come together to fill out an entire first-round mock draft leading up to the actual event that takes place from April 23-25. One by one, our site managers will make their picks and provide their reasoning behind the selection. From there, I will provide further analysis on top of giving a final opinion on the pick!

Without further ado, let’s keep things rolling!

With the 14th overall pick in the 2026 SB Nation Community Mock Draft, Baltimore Beatdown’s Nikhil Mehta and the Baltimore Ravens select Spencer Fano, offensive tackle, Utah!

Mehta’s analysis:

SB Nation NFL Mock Draft: with the 14th overall pick, the Baltimore Ravens select...

Spencer Fano, offensive lineman, Utah.

This is a bit of a frustrating board with three of Beatdown’s favorite prospects (plus fan-favorite Olaivavega Ioane) going in the previous four picks, but Fano is the No. 9 prospect on Baltimore Beatdown’s Big Board and an excellent value for the 14th overall pick. He started at both tackle spots at Utah, but has been pegged for a move to the interior due to his sub-33-inch arms. That will work just fine for the Ravens, who currently lack set starters at center and right guard. Fano spent time working at center during the pre-draft process, and it would be ideal if he could make the switch and start there as a rookie. If not, he will play just fine at guard in Declan Doyle’s scheme, perhaps with the potential to move to center once he gets the finer points of the position under his belt.

That is a bit of a projection for a first-round pick, but whether it is at guard or center, Fano profiles as a long-term starter with plenty of upside due to his athleticism, power, and bully-ball mentality. The Ravens need all of those things along their offensive line, and Fano’s ability to kick out to tackle in a pinch make him even more valuable.

My analysis: The Ravens lost one of the league’s best young centers in free agency when the Raiders handed Tyler Linderbaum $27 million per year, vastly outdoing the previous high earner at the position (Chiefs’ Creed Humphrey). With that giant hole in the middle of the offensive line present, the Ravens decide to go with Fano with the 14th pick to swiftly reinforce their front five.

Third-year tackle Roger Rosengarten was Baltimore’s starter on the right side in 2025 but Fano is an immediate upgrade who could also flex to just about every other position up front thanks to his well-rounded skillset. With three years of starting experience in an offense that has sent numerous offensive linemen to the next level, Fano is a high-floor selection who will immediately upgrade the rushing attack for both Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.
