Brett Favre’s Ankle Injury May Be Tested Friday At Vikings Practice

Brett Favre’s ankle injury is apparently getting better. At least enough to the point that he’s hoping to practice on Friday to prepare for the Vikings Week 8 game.

Favre is expected to be listed as questionable for Sunday’s game after suffering a pair of fractures in his ankle. Favre says the decision will be made by himself, head coach Brad Childress and the Vikings medical staff.

Via 1500 ESPN:

“We haven’t talked about it really,” Favre said. “I’ve been getting treatment. I don’t think that’s an unusual thing with me.”

By Thursday he was out of the walking boot that reporters saw him on Wednesday. While there is a question of whether he’ll play it seems that most figure he’ll make his way in there.

The next goal for Favre is practicing on Friday. If he can’t do that, then he’ll have an opportunity to participate in the walk-through to get ready to play. If he can’t do that either then the Vikings will have until 90 minutes before Sunday’s game before declaring him active or inactive.
