Today, the answer to Brett Favre’s eternal question of “Will he or won’t he?” seems like “He will.”
According to a report, Favre told ESPN’s Ed Werder that his left foot and ankle injuries have healed substantially, and that he expects to start for the Vikings against the Patriots this Sunday. Favre has been dealing with ankle injuries dating back to last year’s NFC Championship Game against the Saints, but it was revealed this week that he has fractures in his ankle that did not require surgery.

Favre is expected to be listed as questionable for Sunday’s game after suffering a pair of fractures in his ankle. Favre says the decision will be made by himself, head coach Brad Childress and the Vikings medical staff.

I’ll be honest with myself and Brad [Childress] when that time comes. I don’t know if that’s pre-game. Right before kickoff or if it’s tomorrow.”

KFAN in Minneapolis tweets that he’s in a walking boot and the injury is to his left ankle. He’s going to have an MRI on it to get more details.
Childress said that he doesn’t know if Favre will be able to play against the Patriots. He says he needs to see him be able to move around. It’s still early in the week but it’s not a great sign when you’re in a walking boot on Monday and hoping to move around by the middle of the week.
