The Jets and Packers are playing one of the least proficient games of the NFL season. On offense, at least.
Jets Vs. Packers: Low-Scoring First Half Has Packers On Top
After a Mason Crosby field goal hooked left in the wind late in the second quarter, the Jets went three and out, punted back to the Packers, sacked Aaron Rodgers, gave up a long run to Brandon Jackson — then watched as Green Bay’s shot at the end zone turned out to be a short pass that bounced off a receiver’s hands.
Neither Rodgers nor Mark Sanchez has had much luck through the air to this point. Certainly, the swirling winds in the Meadowlands are playing some part in that, but Rodgers has completed just seven of 21 passes, and Sanchez is 10 of 20 with an interception. The Packers are also zero for seven on third down.
For a game played on Halloween, this certainly hasn’t been a scary one, except perhaps for both offensive coordinations. It’s more like the first doctor’s appointment afterward, considering how toothless both teams have been.
