Oakland Can’t Handle Big Ben, Steelers Win 35-3

Versing the Oakland Raiders today, Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers went off for 35 points, while holding the Raiders to only 35 points.

Roelthisberger is apparently back to form. After missing the first four games of the NFL season because of suspension, Roethlisberger came into week 11 having thrown the ball 158 times for 99 completions, 1304 yards, 9 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Today Roethlisberger threw for 275 yards on 18/29 passing and had 3 touchdown passes. Along with his air assault, Roethlisberger was a power on the ground, rushing 3 times for 55 yards and a touchdown.

The Steelers defense showed why it is the number one ranked rush defense as it held Darren McFadden to 14 yards on 10 carries. Michael Bush led the Raiders in rushing with 4 rushes for 33 yards. Raiders quarterbacks Brad Grokowski and Jason Campbell combined for only 168 yards and 2 interceptions, while also being sacked 6 times.

Pittsburgh found itself down three in the second quarter after the Raiders defense held the Steelers offense scoreless. The Steelers proceeded to score 21 points in the second quarter and finished off the game with 14 in the fourth quarter.
