Jeff Fisher Scoffs At Vince Young’s Text Message Apology

Tennessee Titans’ head coach Jeff Fisher likes to do things the old-fashioned way. So when Vince Young decided to apologize to Fisher Wednesday morning, by way of text message, Fisher was unimpressed. The USA Today reports Fisher did indeed receive a text from the embattled quarterback, but wondered why Young couldn’t talk it out in person.

“I’m not a real big text guy,” Fisher said Wednesday. “I’m not really into this new age stuff. I don’t twit or tweet. But I think face-to-face is a man thing, OK?”

He goes on to wonder if Young even sent the text himself or had someone do it for him. After all, Young is dealing with a torn tendon in his thumb that will require surgery and sideline him for the rest of the season. Sending a message with an injured texting thumb probably wasn’t the best way for Young to get back into Fisher’s good graces.

The Titans’ head coach left Young hanging, refusing to return the message or respond to the apology. A simple “lol wut?” would’ve done the trick if he was into that whole text messaging thing.
