VIDEO: Brett Favre Press Conference After Consecutive Games Streak Ended
Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre ended his consecutive games streak on Monday night when the Vikings faced the New York Giants without him. Here is video of Favre's press conference following the game and a few highlights below:
“It wasn’t really a flood of emotions. I just couldn’t play.” That’s interesting that he says it wasn’t a flood of emotions. Favre was telling people over the weekend that he didn’t think he would be able to play so he was likely prepared for this.
“I’m very proud of it.” 297 consecutive regular season games started and 321 including the playoffs. That’s unthinkable.
“I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I won’t hang my head one bit because it ended today.” He says whether it ended this year, last year or any other time he’s proud of it.
“I’ll think more about last season than I will this season, but you take the good with the bad. At least I won’t look back and say, ‘I wonder if I played could we have done this or that.’ We know now.” Indeed we do. That’s probably the closest we’ll see him to saying he regrets coming back this year but considering the way it turned out he has to regret it.
