Two sputtering offenses didn’t get it going in the opening minutes of tonight’s Thursday Night Football contest, but the Colts got on the board with their second try. Dinged-up Colts offensive stars RB Donald Brown and TE Jacob Tamme are playing, and both have advanced the ball for their team.
Colts Vs. Titans Score: 7-0 Indianapolis, Javarris James Up The Middle
On their second possession of the game the Colts drove 68 yards in 11 plays, capped by a one-yard, third-down touchdown run by RB Javarris James. QB Peyton Manning is already ten of 14 for 101 yards. WR Blair White leads all Colts receivers with 35 yards.
Manning looked sharp on the opening drive while operating from a no-huddle shotgun, but the drive stalled near midfield once he started taking snaps under center. Highlights included a 12-yard pass to Tamme and a 13-yard pass to Brown.
The Titans countered with a three-and-out despite two decent runs by RB Chris Johnson. The first quarter is nearly over, and we’re all excited to see the home team attempt its fourth offensive play.
