These rivals played a close game across the board, finishing within 12 total yards of each other. The Bucs forced one more turnover than the Saints did, and Josh Freeman played a much more efficient game than Drew Brees did — Freeman completed 21 passes in 26 attempts, while Brees completed 22 in 38, and the young Bucs passer nearly doubled the Super Bowl MVP’s yards per pass.
The Saints will travel to play the NFC West winner, while the Bucs will play the Philadelphia Eagles if they can get some help.
