NFL Week 17 Scores And Results: Lions Down Vikings In Joe Webb’s Second Career Start, 20-13

There were no playoff implications on the line for either of these two teams, but that didn’t matter.

It was still a divisional grudge match and neither team wanted to lose this game. Unfortunately for Minnesota, Detroit wanted to win it more and they did it with their passing game.

QB Shaun Hill completed 28 of 39 passes for 258 yards (one touchdown). They didn’t have much of a running game, as RB Jahvid Best carried the ball 10 times for 34 yards.

On the other side of the ball, QB Joe Webb was not nearly as good as Hill. Vikings had a very conservative gameplan for him, and he completed 20 of 32 passes for only 145 yards.

Detroit’s key to victory was wrapping up RB Adrian Peterson, who was a non-factor; carrying the ball 14 times for 31 yards.
