Vikings Vs. Bears Final Score: Devin Hester Leads Chicago To Big Victory

The Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears played their Sunday Night Football game in what largely amounted to seeing which team is the third best in the NFC North behind the undefeated Green Bay Packers and 5-1 Detroit Lions. After seeing the scoreboard at Soldier Field read 39-10 in favor of the home team, it's safe to say the final score indicates the Bears are head and shoulders above the cellar-dwelling Vikings.

The Bears got off to a great start in Sunday night's game when Devin Hester scored on a 48-yard play-action passfrom Jay Cutler to give Chicago the early 7-0 lead following a quick three-and-out from the Vikings. Before it was all said and done, Hester also added a kick-return touchdown and four more receptions as he ended the night with five catches for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Cutler also looked solid for the Bears, completing 21 of his 31 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns. His lone turnover came when Vikings’ defensive end was able to sack and strip him, setting up an Adrian Peterson score -- the only Minnesota touchdown of the game.

The Bears looked good, but they'll be tested next week as they head across the pond to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London. The Bucs are coming off of a victory over the New Orleans Saints following a 48-3 defeat from the San Francisco 49ers, so it'll be interesting to see which team shows up in England.

For the Vikings, there are a lot of questions to be answered when they face the undefeated Packers next week. First and foremost, though, is whether Christian Ponder or Donovan McNabb will start at quarterback. Ponder, the rookie out of Florida State, took over in the fourth quarter for McNabb and completed 10 of his 18 passing attempts for 99 yards.
