The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings faced at Soldier Field on Sunday Night Football. The Bears dominated the NFC North battle from the outset and never looked back.
Vikings Vs. Bears Final Score: Devin Hester Leads Chicago To Big Victory
Cutler also looked solid for the Bears, completing 21 of his 31 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns. His lone turnover came when Vikings’ defensive end was able to sack and strip him, setting up an Adrian Peterson score -- the only Minnesota touchdown of the game.

The Vikings offense moved the ball well down the field, but with the scoreboard not in their favor, they were forced to go for it on fourth down and couldn’t convert, turning the ball over on downs.
McNabb finished his night due to a coach’s decision largely as a result of the 39-10 deficit on the scoreboard as opposed to his statistics against the Chicago defense as he completed 19 of his 24 passing attempts. Unfortunately those 19 passes resulted in just 177 yards as he continued to check it down rather than lead the offense down the field.

With Hester’s touchdown -- his second touchdown (and highlight-worthy) play of the game -- he’s now tied Rod Woodson and comes within just two touchdowns of Deion Sander’s record for most return touchdowns. That is quite the feat, as the NBC announcers noted, considering both Sanders and Woodson were able to pad their stats with interception returns as well.
Hester looked like he might take the ensuing punt return to the end zone as well, but he mercifully just went out of bounds rather than trying to make the Vikings’ special teams look foolish once again.

The Vikings needed to drive just 44 yards thanks to Allen’s strip-sack. Allen has been one of the lone bright spots of the Minnesota defense this game as he’s already registered two hits on Cutler in addition to the sack that allowed the Vikings to get their first touchdown of the game.
From then on, it wasn’t all that difficult for the Vikings to move the ball down the field, converse to what was seen from the team in the first half. Peterson has just 36 yards on 11 rushes, but the touchdown from four yards out could represent a change for the remainder of this game.

The Bears offense has looked excellent up to this point against what has shown to be a porous Vikings defense. All of that could change, however, as this might be the game that the Vikings decide to play hard in the second half rather than the first.

McNabb started the play seven yards out of the end zone at the beginning of the play, but his dropback took him into end zone. When Paea and Urlacher converged on him, it looked like he might have an opportunity to work his way back into the field of play, but ultimately that wasn’t the case (as the video below will show).
The Vikings aren’t looking great as they now trail 16-0 ... and the first quarter isn’t even complete.

This game probably isn’t going to be pretty, but the lone highlight so far has probably been worth the price of admission -- at least for those who paid to watch at Soldier Field, anyway.

After leaving last week’s game with a rib injury, Harvin was limited in practice on Wednesday and used Thursday to get an X-ray, which revealed there were no breaks in his ribs. Head coach Leslie Frazier said he decided to give Harvin the day off anyway. He will be wearing extra padding around his ribs, according to a report.
