The New Orleans Saints have had a bit of an up-and-down type season as it seems they are unsure what type of team they're going to be this season. On Sunday Night Football, however, they definitely look dominant as Drew Brees, Marques Colston and Co. have helped the Saints to a 34-3 lead over the Indianapolis Colts.
Colts Vs. Saints Halftime Score: New Orleans Looks Almost Unstoppable
The Colts got off to a great start early when they were able to capitalize on an early folly from Curtis Painter to make the score 7-0 when Brees connected with Colston in the end zone. Just a few minutes later, the two connected again to give the Colts a 14-0 lead and the Sean Payton led team hasn’t looked back ever since.
Brees has connected on 21 of his 25 passing attempts in the first half for 260 yards and three touchdowns. Two of those touchdowns, as mentioned earlier, went to Colston as he’s picked up five receptions for 73 yards.
As far as the Colts are concerned, Delone Carter has been the team’s lone bright spot as he was able to punch in a late touchdown to take Indianapolis off of shutout alert. The Joseph Addai injury doesn’t help, but it’s pretty difficult to say that the team’s starting running back would have been able to change things around.
