Mark Ingram Injury: Saints RB Leaves Game With Right Ankle Injury, According To Report

New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram was so close to reaching the century mark for rushing yards early in the fourth quarter, reaching 91 yards. However, he left the game with a right ankle injury, limping to the locker room to be treated. According to Jeff Duncan of the Times-Picayune, he has a right ankle injury.

Ingram had an 11-yard run to Indianapolis' 18-yard line before leaving the game. Darren Sproles then took over and ran twice for a touchdown, picking the score up on a 16-yard run. If Ingram's injury turns out to be serious, Sproles would likely assume a larger role in the offense, but with the way Drew Brees is playing the team may not need to run much.
