VIDEO: Curtis Painter Interception Helps New Orleans Toward Scoring Record

The New Orleans Saints seem to be going for some sort of scoring record as they rolled up 55 points on the Indianapolis Colts early in the forth quarter. Curtis Painter apparently wanted to join in on the fun, too, as the starting quarterback of the Colts over-threw a pass that resulted in a touchdown the other way for cornerback Leigh Torrence.

Painter apparently misread the defense as he threw a perfect pass to a waiting Torrence in deep coverage. Torrence then did what many of his teammates have done during Sunday Night Football, returning the ball 42 yards into the opposite endzone.

Following the gaffe, the Colts elected to sub Dan Orlovsky in at quarterback. The Saints probably won't try putting any more points on the board as they work toward the lopsided victory, but if they do, it'll be with Chase Daniel subbing in for Drew Brees.
