Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford had a tough day on Sunday as his Lions lost to the Atlanta Falcons 23-16. Although Stafford finished with 183 yards and a touchdown, he ended the game on a down note as he suffered an injury to his right leg on the Lions final offensive series of the game.
Matthew Stafford Injury: Lions QB Expected To Be Fine
Stafford underwent an MRI on his right leg. While those results are still TBD, Lions head coach Jim Schwartz says that his quarterback is “day to day” and doesn’t seem too worried.
Schwartz on Stafford: “Went home yesterday in a boot for his ankle. He’s no more than day to day”
Although the Lions are in the midst of a two-game slide, Stafford remains a solid fantasy option (assuming he plays) thanks to Calvin Johnson and Brandon Pettigrew. Losing Jahvid Best hurts that offense, but Stafford still has some great receiving weapons.
