Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said Matthew Stafford looked to be on the right track at Thursday's practice just one day after it was backup Shaun Hill taking the first team snaps. Stafford injured his leg last Sunday but his status for Week 8 is looking better.
Matthew Stafford Injury: Lions QB Practices, Looks Good For Sunday
Lions C Dominic Raiola told reporters that Stafford looked fine at Thursday's practice.
“He was sharp today, I thought he was really sharp, throwing the ball around, nice velocity on the ball. It didn’t look like anything was bothering him. I’m pretty positive about that,” Raiola said.
This is good news for the Lions. On Wednesday, reports were still unclear about Stafford’s status but following Thursday’s practice it sounds like he’s on the right track.
The Lions play in Denver on Sunday where their odds of winning will increase once we know Stafford is playing.
