The way things sound now, the Detroit Lions can expect to have Matthew Stafford in the lineup this weekend against the Denver Broncos. The Lions quarterback practiced again on Friday taking first team snaps and reporters, like Dave Birkett of the Free Press, indicate there's not much doubt he'll playing on Sunday.
Matthew Stafford Injury: Lions QB On Track To Play
Stafford hurt his leg at the end of their loss to the Atlanta Falcons game last weekend. He had an MRI taken to show that there was no structural damage. Shaun Hill took the first team snaps on Wednesday but Stafford returned to action on Thursday and Friday taking first team snaps.
Stafford's presence is especially important because Detroit will already be missing one of their key offensive players in Jahvid Best, who's expected to miss Sunday's game.
The Lions travel to Denver this weekend to play the Broncos where they’re favored to win.
