The New Orleans Saints scored their first points against the St. Louis Rams on a third quarter fumble recovery. Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins sacked St. Louis quarterback A.J. Feeley at the one-yard line. It forced a Feeley fumble that linebacker Jonathan Vilma recovered for an easy six points.

Quinn blocked a second quarter punt that gave the Rams the ball at the New Orleans 15-yard line. Here is the video of Quinn’s blocked punt.

The Rams picked off Brees late in the second quarter. They scored a touchdown on the ensuing drive, giving them a 17-0 lead.

Newton also has 119 yards passing and the game is still quite early in the second quarter. On the pass to Olsen, Newton was able to convince the defense that he was looking to Steve Smith on the other side, and then find his tight end behind the coverage. His pass hit Olsen perfectly in stride.

Just to put a perfect little cherry on top of the play, Newton got the ball from Olsen and then gave it to a young fan in the stands. Seriously, is this guy too good to be true?

Smith was able to adjust nicely on a slightly under thrown ball from Cam Newton and was originally ruled to have scored the touchdown. But replays correctly ruled him down at the 1.
