NFL Odds And Lines Week 5: Packers Vs. Falcons

The Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons face off in Georgia this weekend as the Packers look to stay undefeated. Not surprisingly, the oddsmakers think it can happen.

The Green Bay Packers are one of only two undefeated teams left in the NFL, but they will face one of their hardest tests to date this weekend when they travel to Georgia to play the Atlanta Falcons. The spread opened at -4½ in favor of the Packers, but there are sites offering as many as seven points for those picking the home team.

The Packers will of course once again rely on their high-octane passing offense after quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw touchdown passes to four different wide receivers in last week's victory. Rodgers should also have two running backs to work with this week after missing starter Ryan Grant due to a kidney injury in Week 4.

For the Falcons, it's probably time for Matt Ryan, Roddy White and Julio Jones to assert themselves as either pretenders or contenders in the NFC this season considering they're 2-2, but could legitimately 0-4 at this point of the season. Michael Turner is also, as always, an important part of the Atlanta attack.

For those interested, by the way, both the Packers and Falcons have gone ‘over’ on the over-under in four of their past five games.
