The Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings have won just once during their eight combined times taking the football field this season, but that number is about to double when they meet in Minneapolis this weekend. The Vikings are the early favorite, but that isn't necessarily a good thing for the home fans.
NFL Odds And Lines Week 5: Cardinals Vs. Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings have won just one of their last seven games at home against the spread, but will look to change that this weekend as the Arizona Cardinals visit.
The Vikings are three-point favorites, which sounds like a good omen, but the fact of the matter is Minnesota is just 1-5-1 in its last seven games at home against the spread. The Donovan McNabb led offense has mostly sputtered this season, perhaps because it should be Adrian Peterson -- or even Christian Ponder at this juncture -- leading the team.
For the Cardinals, it seems that Beanie Wells has taken control of the offense after rushing for 138 yards and three touchdowns last week despite showing up as questionable on the injury report. Don't count out Kevin Kolb tossing a few long bombs to former Vikings ballboy Larry Fitzgerald, however.
Regardless of how it shakes out, this might be a game worth betting on, but maybe not worth watching.
