Packers Vs. Falcons Halftime Score: Green Bay Trails 14-6 After Pair Of Field Goals

The Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons was expected to be a shootout, but the halftime score tells a remarkably different story. Though the oddsmakers had the over-under for the Sunday Night Football game at 53½, the score is currently just 14-6 in favor of the hosting Falcons after the Packers had to settle for a second Mason Crosby field goal late in the first half after beginning the game in a 14-0 hole.

The Packers had a chance to score on their final drive of the half, but tight end Jermichael Finley dropped what would have been a touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers following a solid drive that should have ended with more than three points on the board for Green Bay. Rodgers is currently 12-of-16 for 127 yards through the air.

The pair of touchdowns for the Falcons came on their first two drives of the game. The first came when Matthew Ryan connected with Roddy White on a touchdown pass with the second coming on a Michael Turner touchdown run following a turnover by Packers running back Ryan Grant.

The Packers offense might be in hurry-up mode for the remainder of the game, not by choice, but due to a Chad Clifton injury. With Bryan Bulaga already out, the Green Bay offensive line lost left tackle Clifton due to a hamstring injury in the first half with his return currently determined to be doubtful.
