The rout is officially on in Green Bay after Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for two more interceptions in the third quarter. The first, to Rob Francois, led to a long touchdown from Aaron Rodgers to James Jones on the very next play. The next wasn't entirely Stafford's fault, because Charles Woodson made an insane play, ripping the ball out of Brandon Pettigrew's hands. Check it out:
Packers Vs. Lions Score: Green Bay Leads 24-0 After Three Quarters
It was Stafford's third interception of the game, and led to a Mason Crosby field goal to make the score 24-0. That wasn't even the biggest story of the third quarter, as Ndamukong Suh was ejected after stomping on a Packers offensive lineman, which will undoubtedly result in a huge fine, maybe even a suspension, and hamstrings the Lions' defense for the remainder of the game.
It’s irresponsible to count the Lions completely out of this game considering their propensity for fourth quarter comebacks, but unless they can find a way to cut down on turnovers and slow down the Packers’ offense, they won’t be able to hand Green Bay their first loss of the season.
