Packers Vs. Lions: Just Another Average Day For Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions were supposed to play the game of the year on Thanksgiving but the game was anything but. A Packers ejection, a Lions (Ndamukong Suh) ejection, a few touchdown passes and, ho-hum, the Packers walk away with yet another victory.

Green Bay moves to 11-0 and they do it on the strength of their quarterback, again. Aaron Rodgers is clearly the best player in the game right now and I think the best compliment I can give him is describing his 22-of-33, 307-yard, two-touchdown and no interception performance as an average day for him. Because, let's be honest, that's what its come down to -- numbers like that are only average for a quarterback like Rodgers, who is en route to one of the greatest individual quarterback seasons in NFL history.

So the Packers are undefeated after Week 12 and they have the best player on their team. The next question is whether this is the type of group that, like the 1972 Dolphins and 2007 Patriots, can run the table and go undefeated. I say, yes, they can, obviously.

That's five games left which includes: at New York (Giants), Oakland, at Kansas City, Chicago and Detroit.

The Lions were supposed to be one of their biggest tests and, while it was close in the first half, Green Bay finished with a 12-point advantage.

Just another average day for the Pack. Check out SB Nation’s Acme Packing Company for more on the Packers.
