The Minnesota Vikings will release Donovan McNabb on Thursday afternoon and, like the Kyle Orton situation last week, there could be a number of teams interested in adding McNabb off the waiver wire. Among those teams are the Houston Texans.
Donovan McNabb To Texans Not Expected To Happen
They're down to their third quarterback, rookie T.J. Yates, after both Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart went down with season-ending injuries.
So, would the Texans have interest in issuing a claim on McNabb?
The Houston Chronicle says that's not happening. The Texans currently have Yates, Jake Delhomme and Kellen Clemens on the roster. John McClain points out that the Texans don't even have the cap space right now to pick up McNabb.
So that's one name out. Other teams to keep an eye on include the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys.
