We’re in the fantasy football playoffs now and just like some players single handedly helping your team win in Week 15, there were players that single handedly helped blew it for your (or others) team. Nothing’s worse than relying on a top-notch player only to have them score just a couple points, especially when it’s in the playoffs.
Fantasy Football Week 15: Duds Include Roy Helu, Rob Gronkowski
New England Patriots receivers disappointed their fantasy owners in Week 15 even though Tom Brady had a huge game.

Here are five of those players from Week 15:
The Redskins upset the Giants on Sunday but they didn’t do it with the help of their running back Roy Helu. After three straight 100-yard plus games, Helu only managed 53 yards despite carrying the ball 23 times. He also caught three passes for 16 yards. He helped his team win but in fantasy football, he didn’t do much at all.
Score (ESPN standard scoring): six points
Rob Gronkowski has been a fantasy beast so far this season. In the last six weeks he scored 10 touchdowns and he broke the league record for touchdowns scored in a single season by a tight end. You should start him every week forever until there is no more Internet. However, this weekend in Denver, Gronkowski had a rare off game. He caught four passes for 53 yards and was held out of the end zone.
Score: five points
Eli Manning has had a great season but he had a terrible game on Sunday. He completed 23 of 40 passes for 257 yards but he didn’t have a single touchdown pass. What he did have was three interceptions, which all counted for negative points. If you were relying on Manning to get you to the next level of the playoffs, he left you high and dry.
Score: four points
| Wes Welker WR New England Patriots |
Even though the Broncos lost their Week 15 game against the Patriots, Denver's defense did a solid job at stopping the Patriots' two top weapons, Rob Gronkowski, which you read above, and Wes Welker. Welker caught four passes for 41 yards. He almost scored a touchdown but the play was overturned by referees when they discovered he was down by contact before he slid into the end zone.
Score: four points
The Packers lost their first game of the season, to the Chiefs of all teams, and Jordy Nelson, one of the league's top receivers probably helped you lose your fantasy matchup. With Greg Jennings out, you'd think that Nelson would have a huge game but he only caught two passes for 29 yards. If you didn't lose but you had Nelson in your lineup, I'd keep him in next week too. I don't see him laying another fantasy egg.
Score: two points
