Bengals CB Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones Pleads Not Guilty

Although Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones was not in court Monday, his attorney reportedly pleaded not guilty for the charges the Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive back received.

Jones, who was detained and arrested after refusing to leave a downtown bar on Sunday, July 10, had been charged with two misdemeanors. He was given the first - disorderly conduct while intoxicated - for an altercation inside the bar and the second for being uncooperative with police and apparently attempting to remove his handcuffs.

Jones previously denied that he had been drinking when police handcuffed him, as he told,to the local news station when he was released from jail.

This isn’t the first time Pacman has been in the news over legal troubles. In 2007, Jones faced two felony charges in a strip club shooting in Las Vegas. The City That Never Sleeps is the first city Jones received a formal criminal charge. Although he has earned himself multiple league suspensions, the Bengals signed him during the 2010 season to an undisclosed contract.

The defender played just five games last season before suffering an injury that placed him on the injured reserve.
