Recent NFL trade rumors have connected Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals, which makes sense given the Cardinals' ugly quarterback situation and Kolb's position behind Michael Vick on the Eagles' depth chart. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie might be the start of a good package in return. But only a start, says the Philadelphia Inquirer, who reports that Rodgers-Cromartie alone might not get the job done.
Kevin Kolb Trade Will Require More Than Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, According To Report
A deal centered on Kolb and Rodgers-Cromartie would make a lot of sense for both teams - the Eagles need a cornerback and don't have as much use for Kolb as other teams might, and the Cardinals need a quarterback and don't need Rodgers-Cromartie quite so badly after they drafted Patrick Peterson.
This deal will likely hinge on the Eagles’ perception of Kolb’s value. They know his talents the best, and they reportedly would want a secon- or third-round pick in addition to a starter like Rodgers-Cromartie.
