NFL Free Agency Rumors: If Le’Ron McClain Leaves Ravens, Chiefs Could Be There

Baltimore Ravens FB Le'Ron McClain is scheduled to be a free agent though it's unclear if the Ravens will make a big effort to retain him. Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times reports that the Ravens are expected to let him depart in free agency this year.

And if McClain does leave the Ravens, Wilson reports he will have suitors.

If Ravens fullback Le'Ron McClain leaves via free agency, expect the Kansas City Chiefs to have interest in him.

The Chiefs have a fullback on the roster in FB Mike Cox but, with the running game being the main focal point of their offense, it may not be such a bad idea to invest in the best fullback on the market.

But does McClain want to leave? In comments made to Wilson last week, it certainly doesn’t sound like it. He says “hopefully” he’ll be back with the Ravens but obviously this is a two-way street and the Ravens have to want him at the right price, too.

Teams can reportedly start contacting other teams’ free agents on Tuesday but deals can’t be done until Friday.

Check out Baltimore Beatdown’s story on McClain last week to see what fans are saying about his possible exit.
