NFL Free Agency Rumors Link Randy Moss To New York Jets
Randy Moss and the New York Jets.
Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that the Jets are considering the 34-year old receiver. GM Mike Tannenbaum has been busy with the Jets receiving group already re-signing WR Santonio Holmes to a monster deal. WR Braylon Edwards is also an option but, with Holmes' deal, he may prove to be too costly for the Jets.
So that has them looking at Moss. It seems like the type of move the Jets would make so I wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen.
The only question about Moss is his speed because that’s what makes him so good. As age increases, speed usually doesn’t so that will be the first question the Jets have to answer. From there, they’ll need to consider how Moss, who has had issues at a number of stops in his career, will fit in their locker room. The Jets have a strong core and they can usually handle the bumps a player like Moss might bring.
For now, it’s just a rumor, but I wouldn’t be surprised to this go down at some point in free agency.
