On Wednesday WR Braylon Edwards tweeted that he wants to stay in New York but it doesn't appear that the numbers from management will match up. Though things can change, Edwards may be looking to other suitors.
NFL Free Agency Rumors: Vikings Reportedly Looking At Braylon Edwards
One of those suitors is the Minnesota Vikings, ESPN's John Clayton reports. The Vikings lost WR Sidney Rice in free agency so they could be on the look out for another receiver. Edwards makes as much sense as anyone on the market.
Per the ESPN report, they're also interested in former Packers WR James Jones.
With WR Santonio Holmes' big deal in New York, and the possibility of CB Nnamdi Asomugha coming, there may not be room for Edwards there.
Any deal Edwards reached with another team won’t be official until Friday night when players are permitted to sign. Even then, he won’t get to training camp until Aug. 4 at the earliest, according to the rules in the new labor agreement.
