The New York Giants could be one step closer to signing a running back now that Jason Snelling is scheduled to have a visit with the team, according to Mike Garafolo. Adam Caplan added that Snelling was on his way there on Sunday night. But the Giants could still attempt to re-sign Ahmad Bradshaw, whom they featured over Brandon Jacobs during the 2010 season.
NFL Free Agency Rumors: Jason Snelling, Giants To Meet
Snelling entered the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons as a seventh-round draft choice in the 2007 NFL Draft. He was used sparingly in his first two years there, but emerged as an effective backup to Michael Turner over the last two seasons. He did his best in 2009 with 613 rushing yards on 142 attempts. He's been used extensively as a receiver over the last two seasons and is an effective blocker, as well.
With a visit on Sunday evening, might a deal emerge before the end of the night?
