During an appearance on the 6pm EST SportsCenter, Schlereth, who played for the Broncos and lives and works in Denver, added that the change in the team’s quarterback depth chart is related to Tebow’s “inaccuracies and issues he’s had over the last few weeks”.

The move is a stark change from the expectation many had entering into the offseason that the former-Heisman winner would be handed the reigns to the team. As recently as July 27th, Tebow was the assumed starter, and the Broncos were desperately trying to shop Kyle Orton around the league.
