When you're quarterback completes 7 of 15 passes for just 39 yards in their season opener, it should come as little surprise that playing your home opener against a team with significant question marks is not enough to make you an overwhelming favorite. And that's just the position Donovan McNabb and the Minnesota Vikings find themselves in as they get ready to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
NFL Picks Week 2: Bucs Vs. Vikings
SB Nation’s Andrew Sharp says he picking the Vikings, but it’s pretty clear that he’s doing so with some significant reservations:
I’m picking the Vikings to take care of business at home. But I just want to take this time to say that I hope everything happening to Donovan McNabb right now happens to LeBron James one day.
Other experts seem similar conflicted. The crew over at ESPN is almost split, with three of their eight human prognosticators going with the Vikings and their two computers splitting their vote. CBS is a little less torn, although they are going in the opposite direction as four of their five experts are going with the Bucs. Peter King, too, is just a little too skeeved out by McNabb’s performance, picking the Bucs to win in a rout.
