This Sunday's matchup between the Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills is generating some understandably mixed emotions among NFL experts. The Bills blindsided everybody with 41-7 demolition of the Kansas City Chiefs in a game that included two touchdowns from Scott Chandler of all people. The Raiders re-upped for another year of being one of the league's most schizophrenic team behind the explosive but injury-prone Darren McFadden.
NFL Picks Week 2: Raiders Vs. Bills
The Oakland Raiders head to Buffalo to take on the Bills in what looks like one the bigger toss-up games of the weekend.
Peter King took the Bills to win and cover the three-point spread. Then again, he is counting on Chandler to once again be the difference in this game when he been the difference exactly once in his career.
ESPN seems extremely confident that the Bills’ 34-point win was no fluke, with all eight of their human experts, and two non-human experts, taking Buffalo. CBSSports.com wasn’t quite as sure, taking the Raiders in 3-2 decision among their five experts. Pete Prisco predicted a 10-point win for the Silver and Black, citing their tenacious defense and McFadden’s big opening performance.
SB Nation’s Andrew Sharp agreed, asking perhaps the most important question of the weekend.
Can anyone tell me where Ryan Fitzpatrick went to college?
Predictions cover the entire spectrum in this matchup, as they should in a game featuring two teams that last season would look completely different from week to week. If you have to call it, the Bills get the edge here simply by looking more impressive last week. In reality, though, this could be one of the NFL’s biggest toss-ups of the weekend.
