Braylon Edwards Has Knee Surgery, Out Indefinitely For 49ers

San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters Wednesday that Braylon Edwards had a surgical procedure performed on his right knee and will be "out for a little bit."

Edwards was injured on the third play of San Francisco's game against the Dallas Cowboys last weekend.

Braylon will miss the 49ers' upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals. It is unknown how much more action he'll miss.

Edwards is in his first season with the 49ers, signing a a one-year, $1 million deal that could grow if he hits certain incentives. The more time he misses, the more unlikely that becomes. Edwards has four receptions for 48 yards so far this season.

Good news for the 49ers is that WR Michael Crabtree will be returning to the line-up this weekend after missing last week's game with an injury.
