The Kansas City Chiefs' season is already on the brink of collapse, and that might not be an overstatement. After two weeks, the team is winless and has been outscored, 89-10. This week they face AFC West rival San Diego. It should come as no surprise that the Chiefs are huge underdogs against the Chargers this week. Our odds partner, Odds Shark, has the opening line for this game at 15 points.
NFL Odds Week 3: Chiefs Vs. Chargers
The Kansas City Chiefs are on the road against the San Diego Chargers and are 15-point underdogs. That might be a conservative line given the 79-point differential in favor of the Chiefs’ opponents.
It wouldn't be out of the question for the Chargers to give the Chiefs their third whooping of the season. Safety Eric Berry tore his ACL during Week 1 and running back Jamaal Charles joined him with the same injury last week. They will need Thomas Jones and Dexter McCluster to fill the void. Quarterback Matt Cassel is averaging just 4.3 yards per pass attempt and has one touchdown throw.
The Chargers just lost to the New England Patriots, but Philip Rivers continues to throw, throw and throw some more. Rivers is fourth in the league with 351 passing yards per game, but he has four interceptions to his four touchdowns. Rivers and receiver Vincent Jackson connected 10 times for 172 yards and two touchdowns in the last game. This could be another big day for the two of them.
