Kenny Britt Injury: Titans Expected To Confirm Season-Ending ACL Tear

Kenny Britt went down in the Tennessee Titans Week 3 victory over the Denver Broncos and shortly after the injury several reports indicated it was a season-ending ACL tear. Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean confirms that it's an ACL and it will end Britt's season.

Wyatt reports Titans head coach Mike Munchak is expected to confirm the news at the Titans Monday press conference. Britt was scheduled for an MRI on Monday, where the ACL tear was likely confirmed.

Wyatt has reported just the ACL tear while others say it’s an MCL as well.

This is a big blow to the Titans considering how effective Britt has been. For the season, he has 289 yards on 17 receptions and three touchdowns. He was clearly a difference maker.

Matt Hasselbeck has been playing very well and he'll lose one of his best options. The injury comes at a time when Chris Johnson is still trying to eclipse the 100-yard mark for the season so the rushing attack isn't what it used to be, at least right now.

The AFC South is wide open right now and, despite the injury, the Titans should be in the thick of the divisional race.
