Jaguars Coaching Search Now Includes Mike McCoy, Bill O’Brien

Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and New England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien are the latest names to surface in the Jacksonville Jaguars' search for a full-time replacement for former head coach Jack Del Rio.

Interim head coach Mel Tucker, who has a defensive background, is also a candidate for the position, as is Dallas Cowboys special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis. After ranking 32nd in total offense, 32nd in passing offense, 32nd in first down per game, and tied for 28th in scoring offense, an offensive-minded head coach is clearly a direction the Jaguars are considering going.

In addition to McCoy and O'Brien, the Jaguars have requested permission to interview Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey, New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski. Muilarkey has previous NFL head coaching experience, compiling a 14-18 record with the 2005-06 Buffalo Bills, but will not interview until after the Falcons' playoff game against the New York Giants on Sunday.
