X-rays taken on Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb were negative, coach Ken Whisenhunt said on Monday. Kolb suffered a rib injury during Sunday's overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills, which the coach said was the result of falling on the ball when he was tackled. Kolb, who was replaced by John Skelton, is expected to undergo further tests. Whisenhunt added it was too early in the week to say which player would start against the Minnesota Vikings.

Skelton was named the starter to open the season but was injured in Week 1 and had to watch as Kolb led the Cardinals to a 4-0 start. Skelton on Sunday was 2 of 10 for 45 yards in relief of Kolb and threw a costly interception in overtime.
Fantasy Impact: Neither Kolb nor Skelton have been great fantasy quarterbacks this season, although Kolb had thrown a touchdown to Larry Fitzgerald against Buffalo before getting injured.
Fantasy owners would be wise to stay away from this situation, regardless of who is named the starter.
