DeMarco Murray injury update: Cowboys RB in danger of missing Week 7

An MRI on Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray showed no broken bones in his foot, but ligament damage could keep him out of this week’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray could miss this week's game against the Carolina Panthers and possibly longer after an MRI revealed ligament damage to his foot, according to the team's website. It is expected that Murray will be questionable for Sunday's game, but Clarence Hill reported that the team decided to hold him out prior to the results of his MRI being available.

The good news for the Cowboys is that the MRI found no broken bones in their running back’s foot.

Murray was pulled early in the second half on Sunday after spraining his foot against the Baltimore Ravens. He had a strong game going, racking up 93 yards before the Cowboys pulled him in favor of Felix Jones, who rushed for 92 yards on 18 carries.

Murray has 330 yards on 75 carries this season.
