DeMarco Murray injury: Dallas RB returns to practice Wednessday

DeMarco Murray’s status for Sunday is looking up, as it’s reported he’s returning to practice on Wednesday.

It might be too late to save their season, but the Dallas Cowboys hope to have their starting running back this weekend against the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles. DeMarco Murray is back at practice on Wednesday, reports ESPNDallas.com reporter Calvin Watkins.

The Cowboys (5-6) have struggled to run the ball without Murray, who hasn't played since an Oct. 14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The starter in his place, Felix Jones, was held out of Wednesday's practice, according to Watkins.

Murray has been out with an ankle injury and his return this week is up in the air. He hasn’t been ruled out, and the fact that he’s practicing has to be taken as a good sign.

The second-year running back out of Oklahoma has rushed for 330 yards and a touchdown in five games this season. He was a revelation as a rookie last year while taking over the starting job from Jones, rushing for 897 yards in 13 games played.
