Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants: Betting odds, preview, stats, pick

The Giants usually cover the spread in Dallas and they are riding a hot streak on the road. Is this enough reason to bet against the host Cowboys in Week 8 action?

The New York Giants are 11-2 SU and 9-4 ATS over their last 13 games, and will look to stay hot when they visit the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium this Sunday.

New York opened at PK in this game, but early money in the week has hit the Giants hard and the line was pushed to two points, according to most shops tracked by OddsShark.com (SBNation’s lines partner).

The trends show the Giants running a 6-2-1 ATS streak in their past nine trips to Dallas. They are also 7-1 ATS in their past eight road games.

The defending champion New York Giants have picked up where they left off last year in 2012. After getting off to a pedestrian 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS start, the Giants have won three straight (and gone 2-1 ATS) to bring their season totals to 5-2 SU and 3-4 ATS.

Teams haven't been able to solve Eli Manning and the Giants' potent passing attack, and the defense has looked strong this season with the exception of one ugly shootout game against Tampa Bay.

The Dallas Cowboys are an unassuming 3-3 SU and ATS this season after last week's win and cover over the Carolina Panthers. All three of Dallas's losses have come to playoff contenders in Baltimore, Chicago and Seattle while two of the Cowboy's three wins have come against lowly teams (Carolina and Tampa Bay).

Dallas’s one quality win came in a Week 1 upset over the New York Giants, a result the Cowboys hope to repeat this week.

The total has gone UNDER in four of New York’s last five games and in seven of Dallas’s last nine games. It has also gone UNDER in each of the last two meetings between these two division rivals.

Even with Dallas’s win over the Giants in Week 1, New York is 7-3 SU and ATS in its last 10 games against the Cowboys and 12-5-1 ATS in its last 18 games against them. New York is in better form than it was in Week 1, and it is hard to see the Giants letting the Cowboys beat them twice in the same season, especially after they ruined their banner-raising ceremony.

It should be a close game, but look for New York to win its fourth straight game.
