The Houston Texans turned away the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Mario Williams: It ‘felt great’ to be booed

Bob LeveyNeedless to say, Texans fans didn’t react too well to Williams celebrating his sack -- and a chorus of boos rained down on Williams. Williams, though, was happy to be booed, and said it “felt great.”
Williams spent six seasons with the Houston Texans, before leaving as a free agent this past offseason to sign with the Bills. Buffalo gave Williams a six-year deal, worth up to $100 million, with $50 million in guaranteed money. Houston made Williams the No. 1 overall pick of the 2006 NFL Draft, selecting him ahead of USC Trojans running back Reggie Bush, in a controversial move at the time.

Bob LeveyBuffalo’s defensive effort was still not all that great, as they gave up 374 total yards. However, considering the Bills entered the game giving up 424.1 yards and 32.4 points per game, this was an improvement. This is especially true given the fact that Houston came in as the No. 2 scoring offense in the NFL.

Defensively, the Texans are allowing 283 yards per game, which ranks third in the league. Their average of 18.3 points given up is good for sixth in the NFL.
