With the AFC’s best record, 6-1, the Texans will try to continue adding distance between themselves and the rest of the conference, while Buffalo looks to get back to .500.
For defensive end Mario Williams, it will be the first contest against the team that drafted him No. 1 overall in the 2006 draft. Williams ended his tenure with the Texans after signing with Buffalo this offseason. This season, Williams has 3½ sacks and 16 tackles. The Bills are struggling overall defensively, ranking next to last in the league in yards allowed per game at 424.1, and last in the NFL with an average of 32.4 points per game given up.
The last time Houston was in action, they dominated the Baltimore Ravens, 43-13, Oct. 21. This came after the Texans' first and only loss of the season in Week 6, in which they were defeated by the Green Bay Packers, 42-24. With the backfield duo of Arian Foster and Ben Tate, Houston ranks sixth in the league in rushing yards per game, getting 140.9 on the ground per contest.
Defensively, the Texans are allowing 283 yards per game, which ranks third in the league. Their average of 18.3 points given up is good for sixth in the NFL.
