In his 15th career game, Andrew Luck has made history.

Peyton Manning's rookie passing record remained unchallenged for over a decade until Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers broke it in 2011. The record has now returned to Indianapolis as rookie Andrew Luck passes Newton's record and becomes the NFL's new record-holder for passing yards by a rookie.

It look Cam Newton 16 games to amass 4,051 yards -- with just over five minutes remaining in the first half, in only his 15th game, Luck eclipsed that record. Appropriately, it was a 28-yard deep pass to Donnie Avery, showing Luck's deep touch. The rookie QB now aims to separate himself from any possible future challengers. Entering today's game, Luck was the eighth leading passer in the NFL.

Luck's rookie season has been shrouded in an air of expectation. Annointed as the next "great one" pre-draft, Luck has been everything the Colts hoped for when the team elected to part ways with Manning and make him their franchise quarterback of the future. Commanding the offense with ease --and trying to make a late push into the playoffs -- Luck has plenty more to achieve in his rookie season.
