NFL inactive list, Week 17: Panthers vs. Saints

The Panthers and Saints prepare to play for pride missing some players on each side.

The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers are both out of playoff contention. But this is still a game between two members of the NFC South division, so pride will be on the line when the two teams take the field on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET in New Orleans.

The Panthers will be without the services of quarterback Jimmy Clausen, wide receiver Joe Adams, running back Jonathan Stewart, linebacker James Anderson, center Geoff Hangartner and defensive end Greg Hardy. Hangartner is the starting center, and his backup is Jeff Byers. The remainder of the Panthers' inactive list is made up of backups.

The Saints will be without cornerback Jabari Greer, defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, linebacker Scott Shanle, wide receiver Saalim Hakim, right guard Ricky Henry, Walker and tight end Mike Higgins. Greer usually starts opposite Patrick Robinson as the left corner, but he is out with a concussion. He will finish the season with 51 tackles and three interceptions. The rest of the Saints' inactive list are all backups at their respective positions.
